As I’m writing this I’m sat on a flight between Copenhagen and London, looking out over the clouds. I’ve just finished listening to Niklas Zennström’s ‘sommarprat‘ from earlier today, and I’m filled with optimism. The future is ours to make, shape and form, as long as we dare give it a proper go.
I’m a week into my break from freelancing. What awaits come September is yet to be decided and won’t be for another couple of weeks. Right now is my time off from musts and having to be somewhere every day between a certain time. This is my time to breath, prioritise my health, happiness and passions. To look after and grow byflock and to be sat cross legged in a sunny park, on the beach, in a cafe, at home or where ever my lust takes me, architecting out the next chapter of my life, the nearest future of byflock and how I want to start to help make this world a better place.
I know where I’m going – but I don’t know all the steps to get there – and I know what I want to achieve. It’s no small vision and just as Niklas Zennström, the co-founder of Skype, says towards the end of his sommarprat, I’m the incurable optimist, naive enough to think that I change things and make it happen. What’s to come is up to me.
