Last Friday I did my first public speaking at the EuroIA Summit in Prague. The idea for the talk came on a day where we’d been discussing structure and delivery of content to meet diverse needs at work.
During lunch a brief online conversation on the subject of anywhere and everywhere sparked my brain into thinking that this problem of how to design for an ever increasing and more diverse audience, accessing services anywhere and at any time on a range of devices, it’s just not going away and we need a way to address it. The topic played on my mind the rest of that week and late on Sunday evening, when it occurred to me that it was the last day for EuroIA submissions, I decided to submit a proposal and so the evening got even later as my abstract took shape.
The initial idea for the talk was to focus more on dynamic publishing and delivering the right content at the right time to the user, but as things had it and based on feedback in the EuroIA pre-dux in London (thank you), the talk ended up focusing more on exploring designing for multiple devices.
It’s an incredibly exciting and somewhat challenging time that we are in and though I by no means intend to give out that the examples in my deck are the way to do it, I hope the slides and notes from my talk can give you some inspiration and ideas of how to address the challenges that we’re faced with in a way that works for you and for your projects.
These kind people have written some notes from my talk:

If you have some additional ones let me know and if you have any feedback, I’d be very keen to hear it.
