Not everything in life is something we want to deal with, but most things have to be dealt with in one form or another or they’ll come back or play on our minds.
This post has very little to do with byflock or running a company. It’s more about Christmas and the stress and divide that many people feel this time of year. As much as we’d like all our family situations to be uncomplicated and straight forward, the time around Christmas when we decide how to spend the holidays seems to be the time of year when any family issues rise to the surface. It’s not the most fun time to deal with it, and to some it makes Christmas something that they dread rather than look forward to. But generally, things become as complicated as we make them and dealing with it, no matter how hard, is often the best approach and the one that provides the best setup for making the most of the situation at hand.
It goes for business related matters as well. Conversations that may be difficult to have with co-founders, colleagues, managers or employees. The sooner we can have them and the more honest and constructive we can be in these conversations, the better the outlook for working through what ever it is that may be causing difficulties.
