It’s no coincidence that we come back from conferences, meets ups or great days at work feeling inspired, happy and energised. Being surrounded by people who are passionate and love what they do is contagious and fills you with motivation, but it can also make you accomplish more.
After the last few conferences I’ve been to I’ve come back feeling that anything is possible. I’ve been more motivated then ever. Then the demands of everyday life and juggling the day job kicks in and with that the motivation dips a little, but that’s quite natural. Things can’t always be on a high and probably shouldn’t or we would end up exhausted. However, the email I received yesterday reminded me about just how powerful it is to have people around you who share your passion, belief and determination. People who are proactive and who you can lean on and ask for advice when there is something you need help with. Who have a passion for what they do and when asked how something will happen answer “I don’t know, but I will find out” rather than simply “I don’t know”.
They are the people who always look for solutions rather than problems and as a result help keep motivation and the spirit hight. It’s those people that you can always learn from and who will never stop learning themselves. And that kind of environment is the best you can ever be in.
