It’s been week 2 of working part time and dedicating more time to byflock. It’s not without its challenges but it’s so far with a lots of rewards. The one thing to crack is the routine and discipline of working from home, though this week I haven’t been home much at all.
Two days were spent in the office this week and then I headed out to Sweden to run a breakfast seminar. It went really well and sitting in Malmö working during the day gave me ‘mersmak’ as we say in Swedish (whet my appetite) to spend more working time in Sweden. But, it was a long day in Malmö and spending all of it in cafes ends up not only a bit expensive but also quite tiring, at least for my back.
The one thing that I’ve found with working more flexibly is the need for a bit of structure. It’s easy to want to get things out of the way and before you know it the day have passed with just doing that. There’s people to meet, emails to answer and things to look into. So next week I’m trialling a bit more of a structured approach to the tasks that need doing on byflock so that the aspects that need to progress do just that.
Tomorrow – Day 247 | byflock and only byflock
