Today I finished my contract in its full time format and it felt quite emotional. It’s been a few very hard working months but with a great team and on a project that I’m really proud of.
As I wrote about yesterday when you get closer to the end you forget all the hard parts and the focus is on the finish. Today when I reached that finish I didn’t want it to end. We’ve had an amazing time in our team and though the long hours certainly hasn’t always brought out the smiliest of me we’ve laughed a lot and despite all, I’ve really enjoyed the ride.
But the part that made me emotional on Friday was the effort the team went to. A leaving lunch had been organised and there was a big group of us that went. Considering how busy we all are it made my day that pretty much the whole team came. Then there was the card and the little leaving gift, something I definitely hadn’t anticipated. And the drinks in the evening that really made me cherish just how many amazing new friends I’ve made. Thank you to all of you. It’s definitely not the end.
