There are many different ways to recharge your batteries and yesterday I got an almost full duracell load. Just by being around people that I really enjoy being with.
After work I went into town to catch up with some old colleagues. It was a lovely evening standing outside having a cold one. Lots of laughter, chit chat, some talk and questions about byflock and this blog. Hearing comments about how my old colleagues are following the journey was really nice (thank you) and as with a lot of things, a little acknowledgement goes a long way in putting a smile on your face and making you stand slightly taller. I left filled with happiness, energy and motivation. The tiredness I’d felt from a few nights of interrupted sleep was completely gone and I genuinely just felt lucky for knowing these brilliant people and having worked with them, and for being in the situation that I am in.
Sleep, healthy food, exercise and some time off are all the obvious ways to recharge your batteries, but they aren’t the only ones. Whatever it is that makes your flame inside burn stronger, get a regular dose of it.
