Deciding whether to go for it or not can both be scary and tricky. You have the idea, you can see how it could work but should you go for it? Do you actually really want to? A simple way to learn where you stand is to take the ‘Would you kick yourself or not really care’ test.
It’s simple and based around one question:
How would you react in the following two scenarios?
-
SCENARIO 1: You decide not to pursue your idea.
After some time you find out that someone else have had the same idea and launched it successfully.
SCENARIO 2: You decide to go for it, but take your time
A couple of months in someone else launches a similar product.
If the answer to either is that you wouldn’t really care too much, then you probably don’t believe in the idea enough. Or, launching something might not be for you.
If you’d kick yourself for not going for it, or doing it sooner, then go for it. And go for it now. Before someone else does.
