Today we went to see an accountant that had been recommended to us. Other than being really informative it’s been a good exercise going through and verifying the approach we’ve taken as well as having made the whole thing of the next stage feel a bit less “big”.
The first time we spoke to her was just before we incorporated byFlock, which was at the start of this month. We had a really good conversation over the phone and she gave us more than what we expected in terms of an initial chat. The purpose of today was to go through a bit more about our company, what we will be doing, how we see it working and what we’ve had in mind with regards to funding etc and how that affects the company setup. Today was also very much about her understanding what we are looking for from an accountant and what she can offer as well as fees.
The initial part of the conversation focused on her forming an understanding what we were about and where we are at. We’d prepared a number of questions which we covered off as the conversation flowed. One answer led to a new question and it was a really good session where we were able to sense check some of the approaches we have in mind, as well as get a few pointers of what to be vary of now in the beginning.
