I’m sat writing this looking out over the sun setting over our plane and JFK. It’s been an incredible trip and I’ve met more people and made more new friends than I had imagined. It’s with a little sadness that I return home but at the same time it’s with happiness.
The 10 days away have been very productive in the sense that I’ve learnt a lot and met some amazing people. In terms of actual physical work on our products at byFlock there’s been very little of that over the last 10 days from my side. The work that has been done has been networking and learning by listening as well as talking to other people. Whilst that is incredibly valuable it’s now time to go back and spend a bit more time on our ideas.
It’s been brilliant being around so many people who are already working on their startups and successfully so, and it’s been great having to explain to some people why we’re embarking down on this journey. What is is that is driving us and what we are doing. The feeling of being on the right track has never been stronger and that’s partly why I’m so looking forward to heading home. Nothing is impossible. You just have to take the first step towards doing it and keep on going, and armed with learnings and new made friends my motivation hasn’t been stronger.
