This has been one of those weeks with less tangible progress and less time than normal to do actual work. It’s also been the first where unforeseen events have put a blocker in our plans.
As I’m writing this I’m sat in Sweden in my mum’s house. It’s -12 outside and a tiny bit of snow on the ground. I should be back in London but apparently there was some heavy snowfall there yesterday and more predicted today together with rain turning into ice, so a large number of flights were cancelled in advance to cause less chaos. Ours was one of them.
Apart from the 5.10am (4.10am UK time) start tomorrow morning I don’t mind too much. We stayed longer over at dad’s and had a nice evening with mum, but it does mean that some of the work that I was supposed to have done today have not been done and week 6 is starting somewhat 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
Tomorrow it’s a month until I’m off to SXSW and then New York and we have a lot of preparation to do before then. A lot of decisions to make and things to look into. And there’s a lot to mock up. It’ll be hectic but I’m looking forward to it.
