There are holidays or trips where you know you will have a bit of downtime so writing a post or two will be ok and quite nice. Then there are those where you know you won’t. My trips back home fall under the latter.
We’re off to Sweden tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday will be full on with friends and family. There’s usually just a couple of 10 minute slots (yep, that’s it) where it’s just me, but this weekend it’s going to be tricky even getting that. But, that’s ok.
Having time off is important. For your health and for taking care of your relationships. It’s needed to reflect and let things sink in. To get some perspective and let all the thoughts fall into place and the buzz settle. And to reflect is what I’ll mostly cover when days of holiday do come and this weekend, which will be the first one this year where I’m not working, will see those kinds of posts too.
