I got the book you see above from D for Christmas a while back. I read parts of it last year when I set up my own Limited Company and right now it’s becoming really handy in terms of a guide of all the things we need to look into. Some eventually and some already now.
There’s quite a lot to get our heads around from legal, financial and business planning aspects and though we won’t be doing all of it ourselves, having a basic understanding and knowing where to start is crucial.
To make the ideas happen we will eventually need to hire some people. We will need to rent a space and this in turn requires funding. There are different ways of acquiring funding and early this week we started discussing the subject in more detail as well as a potential business model. It needs to be properly ironed out and defined as well as cross examined by someone who’s an expert in this matter. But, it’s really exciting times.
We’ve already had people telling us to keep them posted on investment opportunities which is great, and people are getting in contact saying how they’d like to be involved in one form or another. All without knowing what it is that we’re working on.
I wish the day had double the hours to provide me with enough time to sketch out ideas, do market research, read all the articles I’ve added to Instapaper and check out all the webpages that I’ve bookmarked. A lot of the aspects that are being researched right now are completely new areas, or subjects that I’ve only covered at uni so I’m learning lots. I’m currently looking at the best way of sharing all the useful resources I’m coming across and as soon as I do, I’ll start sharing them with you.
Happy Saturday everyone.
