Yesterday I woke up feeling a bit poorly. I had just under 1 degree of fever, a runny and sneezing nose and generally felt as if I was coming down with something. Despite that me and my germs went to work.
No marriage, or at least very few, start their journey under the assumption and expectation that one day they, the happy couple, will part ways. Yet, most sort out the legal aspects of practicalities should it happen.
This was the week where I shared that from starting solo to finding a co-founder, I’m now back as a solo founder. It’s a good weight to get off my chest, being able to talk about it, and with that out in the open it’s easier to start to round
For a while now I’ve struggled a little with what to write. Going from co-founder to founder has obviously meant me thinking quite hard about a few things and naturally those topics are what have come to the surface, but I haven’t been able to share them. Until now.
Yesterday I shared that my co-founder is out, as a co-founder. I’ve had some time to get used to it but it doesn’t feel right to say that I’m the founder of byflock. It isn’t true.

I’ve missed many birthdays due to living abroad. Today it’s one my dearest friend’s birthday. A friend who for a number of reason will always hold a special place in my heart, not the least as it was her and I that together moved to London nearly 7 years ago
Things are coming to an end for 2012. This week I’ve rounded off my contract with the BBC and I’m finishing off another in a couple of week. And we’ve finally come into December. The month where we more than any time of the year get into a seasonal spirit.
I woke up this morning a little later than usual. D had just come back from his run and instead of the usual playlist I could hear Christmas music coming out of the speakers. An absolutely lovely way to start the day.
Christmas is probably my favourite time of year. I absolutely love it. The cold and the dark combined with all the lights and particular attention that is given to making our homes more homely and in season.
The sun is starting to set on 2012 and as it does I’m thinking more and more about next year and how to make sure things really start moving then.
I write a lot about flexibility and finding a work setup that means that life is balanced and makes you as happy and productive as can be. But it’s not just about the setup working for me. It’s also about the companies that I work with.
Today was my last day working over at the BBC in the new Broadcasting House in central London. It’s been a part time contract running for a few months and it’s been great to work together with part of the old Olympics Team again as well as new people.
The other week I read an article about a woman who treats herself like a toddler and tonight a similar topic came up in conversation. Both that conversation and the article were about being able to prioritise your own needs better.
One more week has passed and we’re approaching the end of the year. There is however still a few weeks left and although none of the byflock products are near going live before the clock rings 2013, we’ll still get a lot done in the next few weeks.
There are a few key things I want to change and accomplish over the next few years. As a woman in my late early thirties who adores kids there are only so many years left until little feet hopefully will fill our house. And that makes making the most of
