This month was supposed to be part time work 3-4 days a week so that I could dedicate 2 solid days to byflock. A contract that was brought forward meant that my part time work turned into a combination of two part time jobs and less than a hand full of solid days for byflock.
I could have said no to the contract but this was one of those opportunities that I really wanted to take so I did and I know it was the right decision. It gives me a bit of security going forwards, but it has made me rethink things. With the contract I had over the summer taking over pretty much all my time and now this contract being brought forward, I have to stop letting other things get in the way. It’s a no brainer but tricky when the bills need to be paid and hence why I keep taking work. But having some solid days in a row is what I need to really get my head down and stop feeling like I’m just dipping in and out. So that’s how I’m going to have to plan my part time work from now. Perhaps even try a few weeks of more solid work followed by a week off to properly dedicate to byflock. And thankfully that’s coming up in just over a week’s time already when we’re making the most of our flexible work arrangements and moving the office to New York for a week. A much needed boost for both of us.
