Earlier this year I made the decision that I was going to do something about my ideas. From the 1st of January I started working through them and in early February my co-founder was on board and we had decided on what ideas to proceed with.
After that it was full steam ahead. Then it slowed right down. When you’re right in the middle of something it’s easy. You move forwards and every step is taking you a little closer and hopefully gets you a bit more motivated. During the last almost 3 months progression has almost come to a hault and though it’s not the case it almost feels like we have to start all over again.
There is no doubt in me that this is what I want to do and will do, but it’s getting a bit more serious now. I’ve got two days left working full time in my current contract and I’ve learnt a lot from the last few months. My priority needs to be on byflock and that in turn means that I have to rearrange things. Contracting as I have up until now is not going to work, but it is by far the easy and safe way forward. What I need to do is find a middle ground where the working arrangements are more flexible and that in turn means doing more actual freelance work, which is the part that I’m a bit scared of, strangely enough. But it’s also incredibly exciting so that’s what I’m focusing on.
