I can’t remember when we last had such a rainy summer as we’ve had so far this year. It’s making the parks and gardens lush and green but it’s not much of a summer, or mood brightener. At least not just yet.
During the summer months I find it hard to be inside. Warm weather and blue skies makes me long for open spaces, the sea and generally just being outside. We haven’t had much of that this year and right now, as the sky is yet again shifting from a very brief moment of blue to dark grey, I wonder when it will end. But the good thing is that it always does.
Each time I fly and we leave the ground moving upwards into the clouds, through them and into the sunshine I get reminded of that the sun is always shining. We may not see it but it’s there. It’s good to remember on a day like this where I long for a warm evening walk but also when met with difficulties in life. Times may be grey but the sun will always come out again sooner or later and brighten up the day.
