It’s Saturday night and just past midnight. Omnigraffle is still open on my computer as I’m amending wireframes for our first app whilst simultaneously testing things prototyping it.
I’m trying out different executions of the same screens and then testing it using the Prototypes app. It’s a simple program that doesn’t require any coding skills but instead works on a simple copy paste or add images basis. Once the screens are in the program you just add hotspots and define where each one should link as well as what the transition should be.
The range of transitions is a bit limited but for quick testing it’s great. You can publish your prototype and send a passcode to people to type into an app which is available on iPhone. Tomorrow I’ll have one if not more options ready to start sending around before we progress further in design.
