The number of people that we have spoken to in great detail and showed our work in progress to is rather small. On Sunday we took someone we want to involve through two of our ideas. Showed where we are and what our thinking is. The response couldn’t be better.
byflock is all about bringing likeminded people together to work on things that they get really excited about. That’s where you get the best work out of people and that’s where you have more fun whilst working on it. And it should be fun. Work should be something you look forward to.
The response we got after the chat on Sunday was one of excitement and seeing opportunities. It sparked something and there was an immediate belief in what we’re working on.
I know you shouldn’t get too attached to your ideas and whilst I’m not, I do genuinely love them. It’d be strange otherwise. I came up with one of the ideas three or so years ago and I haven’t been able to let go of it. Just as Ben Silbermann, the creator of Pinterest mentioned during SXSW, I want to see it built. I want to use it. So, not only does it make me incredibly happy when other people like our ideas, but it makes me really happy when you get the reaction of excitement. That is what we’re after.
