Every now and then you meet people that you immediately connect with. Despite not actually knowing them that well there is a little green light that goes off saying “He/she is a good one”.
During EuroIA in Prague last year a lot of green lights went off and in 4 weeks I’m off to the US for 10 days with one of these people and meeting up with some of the others over in Austin. Introduced via Instagram we ended up spending quite a bit of time together and yesterday I learnt that the girl I’m going with and I have something else in common (hint – ideas).
I’ve seen quite a few of the people I really connected with in Prague again and today I got the delightful news that I’ll be seeing some of the others at the the Polish IA Summit where we will all be part of the lineup.
Finding great people isn’t always easy and the point of this very short little story, other than being a tribute to the people who attended EuroIA, is that life has a funny way of giving us a big nudge when we’re on the right track. Strong connections with people are one of them. Whether it’s friendship, a new team, employees or business acquaintances that strong connection can often say more than what looks best on paper so when you do get it, explore it and see what it leads to.
